I love seeing how artist's spaces reflect and shape the design aesthetic of their work, and Moorea Seal's beautiful work space couldn't be a better example of this. I love how her clean, bright space allows her bold and colorful work to shine. It's a study in opposites, and allows both the space, and the work, to shine.
"I love being able to work from home in a clean, organized, and beautiful space that inspires me. I work for at least 10 hours a day, at least 6 days a week. Being my own boss, I find it incredibly hard to give myself time off. And I find that having a clean, white space really helps me to stay focused on my projects. No distractions! And if I am feeling distracted, I can always stop one project for a moment, like a blog design, and take a few hours to focus on another, like working on new jewelry pieces, just to spice up my day.
Almost everyday, you can find me sitting at my desk working on something! You might catch me watching a little reality tv while I work too just to get some sound in the space so I don't feel lonely. I'm so embarrassed, but I do love me some Biggest Loser, competitive cooking shows, and The Voice. For some reason, watching shows that have a competitive spirit help me to get in my game mode for pumping out work. I'm very competitive with myself which is probably why I have been able to survive as long as I have so far in my journey as a self employed artist!" - Moorea
