For the second installment of the Work/Spaces project, I'd like to share with you the amazing studio of Seattle-based design and print house Constellation & Co. Husband and wife team Sara and Brad McNally create gorgeous, thoughtful, handmade designs, and print them beautifully on their collection of historic presses. Their space in the 57 Biscayne Artist Studios downtown Seattle perfectly reflects their love of clean type, historic elements, and rugged Northwest charm.
Without further ado...
"Every day I come to work in our studio, I feel thankful to be here. This space is the fruition of a lot of dreams and hopes and hard work. It's a place that feels like home.
It's a place where history walks beside us. (Our building was constructed in 1890, and has seen a lot of life since then. It's the perfect place for our hundred year old printing presses to reside, plugging on to make new things after all these years.)
I love the exposed brick, the aged wood floors, the huge window and the natural light it lets in. But what I love most are the possibilities that this place holds. This is where I do what I love - and every day here is a blessing." –Sara McNally
